I wrote an article for the Independent newspaper in the summer about the science of happiness, based on an interview with Dr Richard Stevens, a guru on the topic. I was annoyed at first because it didn't appear on the Indie's website, so I couldn't link to it. But checking a few things on Technorati yesterday, I found it cropping up all over the place.
There is a full text version at Findarticles.com - not that they've got rights to print it - and the Belfast Telegraph are selling it to their online readers, with not a penny coming my way.
Oddly, it also makes it on to the website of American Buddhist, I suppose because I mention Buddhism in the piece. No surprise that the good old Buddhists are the only people to mention that "Articles and stories on this website are copyrighted by their authors or owners."
(So as not to be a hypocrite, I'll point out that the nice little Buddha figurine used to illustrate this post is available to buy)
