For those of you who - like me - have been thinking what business model might support a blogging journalist, Ben Hammersley has the answer, or an answer.
The Press Gazette reported his comments at the Guardian's Changing Media Summit:
"With the tiny startup costs for a web site these days, it would be easier for a one-man operation to make a profit online than a 20-man operation, Hammersley said. 'You can give away your content for free and make your money selling t-shirts,' he suggested."
Ahhhh, so it's t-shirts! Now I get it.
